There are so, so, so many types of previews for you to rest your eyes upon out there. With that in mind, something simple. Something different. Something not all that original, but fun, nonetheless. A haiku preview. Haiku, of course, is a form of Japanese poetry that infuses/mandates 17 syllables in a 5/7/5 pattern. The restrictions enable creativity in most. Not necessarily me. I just tried to hack through this in a similar vain as my bracket.

Ohio State vs. Texas-San Antonio/Alabama State: Buckeyes get breather / Roadrunners a great nickname / Coyote giggling

George Mason vs. Villanova: Wildcats in free fall / Everyone rooting for George / Better than oh-six?

West Virginia vs. UAB/Clemson: How’d ‘Eers get a five? / Doesn’t matter, anyway / Awful play-in game

Kentucky vs. Princeton: ‘Cats get the smarties / Just like last year with Cornell / Tigers no Big Red

Xavier vs. Marquette: Gus Johnson on mic / X under radar again / feels like overtime

Syracuse vs. Indiana State: Love overlooked games / No one will pick ISU / Friday’s final tip

Washington vs. Georgia: One of many bizarre seeds / I’m talking about Georgia / Seriously: how?

North Carolina vs. Long Island: This game will have speed / this game will have lots of speed / this game just ended

Kansas vs. Boston U: Not much to say here / Terriers was a great show / I never watched it

Vegas vs. Illinois: Illinois fans tense / Lon Kruger faces old team / Weber next Kruger?

Vanderbilt vs. Richmond: The 12 over five? / Mooney looks like Chris Isaak /What a wicked game

Louisville vs. Morehead State: Comedians love / Pitino faces Morehead / We all get the joke

Georgetown vs. USC/VCU: No Wright or yes Wright? /Georgetown is an enigma / Ignore the play-in

Purdue vs. St. Peter’s: Mis-seed at 14 / Alliteration game here/ Purdue and Peacocks!

Texas A&M vs. Florida State: Worst first round there is / I wouldn’t lie to you, here / Not joking: avoid

Notre Dame vs. Akron: Seems like a laugher / A new Hansbrough hate coming / Will we see that burn?

Pitt vs. UNC-Asheville/Arkansas-Little Rock: Doesn’t matter who / Panthers will surely win big / Next game something else

Butler vs. Old Dominion: What a great eight-nine / Monarchs beat ND last year / Butler with mojo

Kansas State vs. Utah State: Frank Martin scares me / He scares you too, I know it / Dictates haiku here

Wisconsin vs. Belmont: Belmont the chic pick / Wisky a bad, bad matchup / Pick wiser upset

BYU vs. Wofford: Some like this as close/ Jimmer tour makes final run / No Davies means short?

St. John’s vs. Gonzaga: Lavin and those shoes / No Kennedy means trouble? / Zags a March myth now

UCLA vs. Michigan State: Here we go, Izzo / Ben Howland back in the dance / Who could doubt Sparty?

Florida vs. UC-Santa Barbara: Gauchos a great name / Spider-Man tat on one player / Gators fraudy two

Duke vs. Hampton: 12th one seed for Duke / Hampton won as a 15 /No easy road here

Michigan vs. Tennessee: Wolverines are back / Pearl can’t cheat like Michigan / Unpredictable

Arizona vs. Memphis: Pastner faces friends / Memphis lucky to be here / Derrick Williams: beast

Texas vs. Oakland: An unfair pairing / Both teams scary in own way / Benson and Thompson!

Cincinnati vs. Missouri: Hard to respect game / Both teams have serious faults / Anderson leaving?

UConn vs. Bucknell: We all remember / Even if it’s not same team / Bucknell beat Kansas

Temple vs. Penn State: Still wondering here / State: the most overrated?/ A bloody 10 seed?

San Diego State vs. Northern Colorado: Just get the feeling / This one will be over fast / A ghost of a game

Haiku previews for all theThursday/Friday games

Hate to be "that guy" but two of your Haiku's are wrong.  Florida vs UC Santa - Barbara...the 2nd line has 8 syllables (Spider - 2 Man -1 Tat - 1 On - 1 One - 1 Player - 2) and Washington vs Georgia...the first line has 7 syllables (One - 1 Of - 1 Many - 2 Bizarre - 2 Seeds -1).  Fun article to read though.
